Wedding planning has been a passion and dream of mine since I asked for my first subscription to Bride Magazine when I was 8. From working in a bridal store, graduating from Rockhurst University and catering events at Arrowhead Stadium I wanted to learn everything I could about event planning. It was during my time working for the Chiefs that I learned my love for people and the operational side of the food and beverage industry.

I earned my wedding planning certification and continued to work my way up in event management after college starting with Hallbrook Country Club, The Arrowhead Club and most recently Mission Hills Country Club where I planned events for over 10 years. I have an eye for detail, a sense of calm during the most stressful times and a servant heart. My favorite part about planning a wedding is creating a day that is a perfect reflection of the couple. I am so proud and grateful to be part of each wedding I have planned in the past and I hope you will ask me to go on this journey with you, so I can help you plan your wedding in the future.

We knew we had the right wedding coordinator for us from the moment we met Alyssa! We left our first meeting with Alyssa in tears … she was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding coordinator. She had a reassuring presence… coupled with such kindness and the ability to make us feel at ease. We immediately put our trust in her and it was the best decision we made! She did a great job of organizing us and seeing our vision. Her communication was prompt, clear, and was always available to us. We so appreciated her years of experience, opinions, advice and recommendations. She handled the vendors with ease and professionalism. She made it all look so effortless! We could not have asked for a better person to not only coordinate all the moving parts, but to share in this very memorable day. EVERYTHING I WANTED

Alyssa Walz was our wedding coordinator at Simple Elegance. At 4 months out we began meeting monthly, and right away she started handling and managing so many aspects of our wedding. She reached out and went to multiple vendor meetings, scheduled, and attended our tasting dinner, sent monthly emails with upcoming tasks that needed to be done, created a newsletter to send to family and wedding party regarding the wedding weekend info, and created our rehearsal and wedding timelines. She continually kept in contact with both my mother and me to make sure all steps and details were figured out. She helped manage stressful and difficult decisions, while also helping to make sure everyone’s side was being heard. Alyssa also provided so much information to help answer any question I had. She even has a google drive folder that she shares with you that had a wedding draft timeline, itinerary draft, wedding tips, example photography shot list, wedding item list, and much much more. Alyssa was there to help manage the rehearsal at the church, stopped by my parents’ house to get any items needed for the ceremony the night before, and made my wedding day the smoothest most stress-free day by coordinating and taking care of all the details with my vendors. She even made sure both my husband and my bags and purse were in the car as we left our reception. I cannot say enough great things about Alyssa. My mother and I are so grateful for all the time, effort, and support she put in to helping us plan my wedding. It was everything I wanted, and I owe a lot of that to Alyssa!

Alyssa was amazing! Her expertise was so incredibly helpful – there’s no way I could’ve planned our wedding and coordinated all the vendors without her! She was organized and extremely detailed. On our wedding day, things just magically appeared where and when they were supposed to, we didn’t have to think about a single thing except enjoying our big day.
