With a background in teaching and administration, Holly began working in the wedding industry by assisting friends and family with their big day. After planning her own wedding, she was an independent coordinator for one year, and was delighted to join the staff of Simple Elegance in 2006 to become a certified wedding specialist.
In 2008 she became the President of Simple Elegance. Her weddings have been published in The Knot Magazine and featured on The Knot website and her design ideas were featured on Style Me Pretty.
Holly is highly sought out by referrals from her clients and is referred by many of Kansas City’s top vendors. She planned the local Knot Market Mixer for 2 years in a row and assisted in the fashion shows and market parties for the Perfect Wedding Guide. She is also the Co-Founder of Kansas City Wedding Planner’s Circle. An organization that brings the best planners together in KC to share ideas and stories and support each others businesses.
Her attention to detail, creativity, organizational skills, and heart for serving others all add up to her unique ability to help brides create and enjoy the day they desire. With her fresh ideas and love for the area, she enables each couple to see their personal style reflected within the plans of their event.
Holly and her husband are both Kansas City natives, and currently reside in Overland Park with their 2 children, Drew and Stella. She attended the University of North Dakota where she studied Elementary Education and had a successful volleyball career. Holly is an avid sports fan and cheers on her local favorites any chance she gets.

I was literally able to just show up to my wedding and not worry about a single thing. If anything went wrong, I never even heard about it because she had everything under control. She put together an awesome schedule of events for the entire bridal party and family so everyone knew what to expect and where to be at what time. The wedding turned out dreamier than I could have ever imagined…I was completely blown away. Since we live out of state and had to plan everything from over 1,000 miles away we relied greatly on Holly throughout our year-long engagement. She helped us communicate with all of our vendors and went out of her way to meet with us in person when we were back in town. As if she wasn’t helpful enough leading up to the wedding, Holly went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure everything went smoothly and that we enjoyed our day to the fullest.
