Yummy snacks!
We had such a great time celebrating our newly remodeled space with family, friends, vendors and clients in June. It was such a joy to spend time with everyone and share our space and some yummy treats. Thanks to Feasts of Fancy for the cheese torte. It was delicious, as always! Pierpont’s chocolate dipped strawberries were simply divine and Nancy Stark with Chef Shop Stark supplied SE logo designed cookies, French macaroons, mini hostess cupcakes, brownies and the mocha star cookies. All of which were devoured on the spot! One of my favorite parts of the celebration was coming up with a special favor for everyone to take home. Thanks to Discount Mugs at discountmugs.com for supplying the stemless wine glasses for our succulents. I enjoyed a trip to Nuts and Bolts to purchase the succulents for the open houses too.
It was almost surreal standing in the newly renovated office and watching my incredible team and their families, friends, vendors and clients visit. 19 years ago, I started Simple Elegance in our starter home with an AOL account, a business phone line, an ad in the Yellow Pages and one in The Wedding Pages and not to mention, a 6-month old. I also had the support of my husband Kevin, my mom, and my dad & step-mom. They all said, “You can do this and we believe in you“. It is simply stunning to see the transformation that the business has taken over the years. The industry has changed immensely and I am very fortunate that wonderful people have joined me on this journey along the way. Simple Elegance is strong because of the planners that come here every day to execute their craft. We all enjoy working together and building each other up and of course, having a little fun. 😉 I am fortunate and humbled by the amazing team of ladies that I work with, as well as our construction contractor with MGM Property Management, our interior designer and former Bride, Molly ‘Bowen’ Angold with MB Interiors, LLC and the incredible Tammy McBride for her painting skills. Monty, our contractor steered me in the right direction on floor plan and flow of the space and Molly brought my ideas and vision board to life! YES, I got to do a vision board all my own. Now, I know how brides get addicted to Pinterest!!!
I end by saying, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Holly Davidson, Lindsay Howes, Erin Webb, Lisa Forbes, Lauren Kadel, and Lindsey Lozama for working at Simple Elegance. For always bringing your “A” game, for encouraging and pushing me and for sharing not only your ideas but your hearts. THANK YOU to my husband Kevin, who at a moments notice would drop everything to come down and do “one more thing” or put “one more chair together” during the last 6 months. THANKS Monty, Molly and Tammy for making this place beautiful. THANKS to my family and friends who know how busy and crazy my schedule can be. THANK YOU to those of you who came to celebrate with us. THANK YOU to my vendor friends, who continue to cheer for SE!
Finally, THANK YOU to the many clients who hire and trust me and the planners here with this wondrous time in your lives. With the immense amount of trust that you place in our very capable hands, I don’t take it lightly and never will.
