Paulina + Tyler’s Grand Hall Wedding and Reception

Paulina & Tyler’s love story began in High School after Paulina moved to Kansas from California with her family. There wedding day story begins with a ten-year relationship that had been built with a foundation of love and admiration for one another. This was translated flawlessly on their big day. From the beginning of planning Paulina was thinking of others and wanted to make sure that her friends and family had the best time at their wedding. After a beautiful proposal in January in front of Kauffmann Center both Paulina and Tyler knew they didn’t want to wait too long, and opted to get married in October 2017. The day was a perfect Autumn day in Kansas City. Hair and makeup started at the Crowne Plaza Hotel just steps from the Grand Hall. Paulina & Tyler opted to not see each other prior to the ceremony so Paulina spent her morning relaxing with her bridesmaids while Tyler and his Groomsmen enjoyed a little football before heading over to the Grand Hall for pictures. Paulina’s mom was born in Saipan (in the Northern Mariana Islands) and it was so important to the bride to have her mom’s culture represented in her wedding. This is where the inspiration for Paulina’s beautiful flowers came to light. With all of the details perfectly set into place Paulina and Tyler had their ceremony at Jacob’s Well, a church that is close to their home in Kansas City and was able to be officiated by Tyler’s family minister. Once the ceremony concluded P,T, and the bridal party toured around KC getting beautiful pictures while enjoying the first moments as a married couple. As the cocktail hour began in the upstairs of the Grand Hall Paulina and Tyler wanted something fun, and upbeat to greet their guests; a Mariachi band! As guests began being seated a sentimental and funny video played of Paulina & Tyler’s friends asking questions about the couple and hearing memorable and funny anecdotal tales of the two! As Paulina and Tyler enjoyed their dinner with their guests they were serenaded by Tyler’s brother, Andrew James, as he sang “Cant help falling in love with you”. Tyler is a HUGE KC Chiefs fan and as the night proceeds there is one more special guest that Paulina wanted to surprise Tyler with, the KC Wolf! Tyler was shocked and there really could not have been a cuter moment than when Tyler hugged Paulina after seeing the wolf. It was a perfect day.
